viper2788
This is the class of reel that I've been waiting for! A tough reel with cnc gearing at a reasonable price. Beat all the other manufacturers to it
Old Hunter
Just bought two Penn Conflict reels in the last month (5000 & 6000) - very pleased so far in fishing the inlet with the 5000 and the surf with the 6000. I'll look forward to owning a Conflict II. OH Edited July 5, 2017 by Old Hunter
TimS
That's a good looking spinning reel...love the stealthy look TimS Show someone how to catch striped bass and they'll be ready to fish anywhere. Show someone where to go striped bass fishing and you'll have a desperate report chaser with loose lips.

Pissants don't get to assign positions to me. Think of my posts as Rorschach tests. How you respond to them tells more about you than it does about the post. I also do not respond to deflections. jonnyd
2 questions what's rr30 and what are the gears made of?
PENN Fishing
4 hours ago, jonnyd said: 2 questions what's rr30 and what are the gears made of? jonnyd - RR30 stands for Rigid Resin 30. It is a material that is 30% carbon to reinforce the reel and give the body the strength and rigidity it needs. The gears on all sizes will be CNC aluminum main gear and pinion with the exception of the 5000 which will have a CNC aluminum main gear and brass pinion. Stay tuned - we will have a lot coming out over the next week! Ben

BrianBM
We'll have to wait for the gang to get back from ICAST. Then 5,000 people will ask the same question repeatedly, and drive them nuts.
