Rock Solid Pliers

Simply look at what your last 3 pair of pliers have in common and avoid those flaws in your new pliers. Aluminum check, flimsy jaw check.

Or you could simply fish barbless with a single hook at the back.

I bought these HIBO pliers

they cost 3 €, slightly wobble and not tip shaped perfectly but they are good enough

Glos, im curious and mean no offense, but do you ocean fish? I only ask because a pair of pliers like that would seize up after 1 trip.

no I don't fish in the ocean

I have done it as a kid on vacation and caught one small fish that they ( locals ) thought is a spider fish

which stings like hell and makes people want to cut their arms off

but it was just a "glavoč" fish

harmless, and very similar

Top fish sure looks like a stargazer  to me..

My opinion on pliers would be for people to get the best ones that they can afford. I know I use and abuse a lot of my gear so I try to buy the best and hope it holds up like a quality tool should. I have the VS titanium for my belt when fishing with lures and I keep a $40 pair of long needle nose berkley pliers in my beach buggy tackle box for bait fishing cause you never know what your gonna catch on a bunker chunk or a clam.

40 bucks is to much for pliers

you can buy a small kids bike with that amount

it is not so much about buying cheap because you can`t buy expensive

it is about how much makes sense

here are some pics for closer look

they are great, strong

I`ve sprayed some wd 40 into that joint, and some serious amounts of rust dissolved and leaked out, which I wiped out some 6 times, and now they are good to go

Glos could put his pointer and middle finger together call them pliers. They would work great for him. He doesn't catch fish.

LOL! Man, that's cold!

I have a set of knock-off hansom's from China that I amazoned for $6.76.   So far I prefer my harbor freight $3.00 pliers, rust and WD-40 and all.

Vintage Manleys, at least that what I assume they are, stay home now.  They were well used for a very long time and handed down, and frnakly I dont want to lose them.

Cool thread.  I like these sort of quasi-gear reviews.    Filet knife and headlamp threads were good too, last year.
