had to work to find them today.  Had a 32" on and a 28" grabbed the teaser. Both released.

Plugged a local inlet on the drop tonight. Only had one fish in four hours but she was a pig. Easily the fattest 33" fish I've ever seen. She had a 14 inch shad lodged in her throat. Not sure why she hit the mag darter.

Yesterday in Little Harbor, got 4 fish on the tube and worm rig, biggest 26". I got a bite nearly every pass, but only hooked up maybe 20% of the time. The little bastards bit 2/3 of the worm of the hook and boogied.

Doing well inshore as well.  Seems that they are keyed into smaller baits at this time.  No size to speak of though.

On a side note, the shad are still around and actively feeding.  A 20 inch American Shad fights much harder than a 20 inch striper!

Greed, for lack of a better word, is good.  :)

Hit Hampton today for some pre-father's day "me" time with an 8 weight I just finished. Got 8 or 9 schoolies but a mid 20s American shad really made my day. On a chartreuse flatwing of all things. Been fishing that spot 30 years and never got a shad there before...

nice report. It's always tons of fun to get a shad surprise.

Last night in Little Bay caught the tail end of the incoming tide, and fished for about 4 hours. Caught 1 24 inch schoolie trolling a tube and worm rig.

Hitting the Piscataqua by boat tomorrow morning... any general advice on where the fish have moved? I knew where they were a week ago but I've been out of town. I only have a couple of hours , but planning to fish near the mouth somewhere.  Any intel is much appreciated. Please no spot burns!

Did you venture out of the river to the beaches? beachfront even at low tide in the dark is holding bigger fish.

Got a small boat, 14' skiff, could go beachfront but it'd have to be early morning on a calm day. I have been thinking about giving that a shot on a early weekend day though. I'm not a night fisherman though.

slow day for all I spoke with and a slow night for those who fished last night. Fished 630-1130 today. 4 just over 28" for me and one for my brother and none for his GF -  many shorts from 12"-22" or so and good weather to make it a nice day but I'll take **** weather and real fish any day. Second trip in a row that I didn't see any 40" fish. Talked to a really nice Mass Marine guy and did a short interview before he weighed the one fish we kept for dinner tonight.  Pogies are around - mr charley showed up at the mouth of one of the rivers today chasing the pogies along ith the stripers - 80-120lb class fish i was told. My favorite time of year I want a tuna on spin gear topwater this year.
