Everglades bass mania. Some of them annihilate the lures, slamming them high in the air, only to come back to finish the eat! I’ve broken more high end rods fishing for bass lately lol Tournament's don’t help,  either! Now is a great time to bass fish because of the lower water levels, which should start climbing soon enough. Then the fish just spread out, making it tougher. Everglades has quite unique patterns.

Snaking around in the glades lol From dawn to dusk, plenty of action out there. These fish are very aggressive and offer no mercy to any lure! And then they show off with some psycho acrobatics! Mainly hitting topwater but the chatterbait can be deadly under the right conditions and with the right trailer.

I rarely weigh them. I do carry a digital scale and do take the time to weigh the double digit fish, or fish that I think are 10 or more lbs. Other than that, I get them back in as quickly as possible.

Topwater time! Not as good as it was a few moons ago because of all these beach restoration projects or nuking as I call it lol Has just about killed off the fishing along certain coastal areas. Bait runs? lol Few and far between. Just gotta work a lot harder to get the sharks to commit.

I’m guessing that there isn’t much Sargassum on your beach today?  On Hutchinson Island tons of Sargassum on beach/in water lately—pretty much unfishable.

I haven't ran into that much of it....depending on where I go, of course.

As far as the sargassum goes, it can get quite nasty in certain areas but it’s still fishable. I caught the shark below in the thick of it on a topwater lure! Just had to do some fancy steering to get ‘em into cleaner water.
