Hello, I have a G. Loomis e6x inshore rod 8'. I am looking at getting the saragosa sw 6000 or the stradic fk. I will be using for kayak/ canoe, wading, pier, and some surf. I have the ci4+ on the rod now but rod feels too heavy for the reel so I will be Mo ving that to another rod. Would either one of these be suitable for the rod? I fish saltwater in sw florida and will be using 30 lb. braid. Thank you.

Which 8' model? G Loomis offers two.

If it's the Heavy action the 5000 FK will be a better match balance wise, if it's the MAG-Heavy then the gosa 6000 will be where it's at.

Of course if possible you should bring the rod to a shop that has both reels available for you to feel out on the rod.

Looking at the g loomis e6x inshore rods. Trying to decide between these two to pair up with a Shimano Stradic 2500 to fish stripers: 8ft heavy moderate fast 3/8-1oz

or 7ft medium heavy fast action 1/4-5/8oz. Any advice is appreciated.
