Is it true that its the biggest spinning reel in terms of size ??   What is the diameter of the spool in inches ?   and how ''tall'' is the reel from bottom to top ?

I'am comparing it to other reells.

Hope for some answers.  Have a nice day

The Peerless BAM 760 is made in France.

I've  seen the Peerless BAM 760 only on their website.

I'm not sure that it's the world's largest  manufactured spinner.

AFAIK, the largest spinner ever made is the one-off made by a machinist who lives in Texas.

Here's a monster one-off with comments from Dr. Rob:

 The final word:

A machinist in Texas made this for himself. Unfortunately i can't recall his name, so if someone does we can give him due credit for this:

Edit and addendum... It seems his name is Franklin, of Stephenville, TX. He posts on forums with the moniker RealBigReel.

Alan Hawk is known all over the world as an expert on spinning reels.

In the Largest Spinng Reel thread, started  27 December 2008, Alan Hawk posted on the size of the Peerless Bam 760.

My recollection of the Peerless Bam 760's price  is that it was much more than $1000.00.

Alan Hawk's post supports my recollection.

If you can purchase a new Peerless BAM 760 for 350 euros it may be the deal of lifetime.

The largest spinning reel in current production is the Peerless Bam 760 Oceanic Handmade in France to this day, so don't try to look up the price if you suffer from any heart problems cwm31.gif I have her younger sister, the beautiful 620A smile.gif

Got it thanx.  I better hurry up buying it then.   I want to use it for wels catfish here in europe, both for casting from the boat or take the bait faar out.

Here are more pics of the VS 400 that better show its giganticness.

Yep, those are the pictures I was talking about.  I think i remember reading it held something like 1000 yards of 80 pound braid

If I may ask, why do you need  reel like this for catfish ?
