Here's how I cure chicken liver

I fish the Catskills in upstate NY and there are plenty of reservoirs and lakes with plenty of big Catfish. I like your way of preserving and toughening up the chicken livers. I used hot dogs because it stayed on the hook but this season I'm going to try the chicken liver and try calves liver.

 Being that the chicken skins are loaded with fat and being tough I have been using them for fresh and saltwater fishing. They stay on the hook and don't fall apart. They are my secret cat and carp bait. The yellower the skin the better....
