Knife prices on Amazon

Just wondering.

Does anyone know (or have a theory as to) why the prices fluctuate so much? post-51525-0-95559300-1449602143.gif

If you're only interested in buying one pocket knife for yourself you'll likely never notice...

But if you buy a knife for yourself and you really like it  - and then you go back to buy a few more to give as gifts.......You're liable to find that the knife you paid $24 for is now going for $37. Or the knife you paid $37 for, is now going for $24.

Before I make any purchases on amazon, I check the sales history on the camelcamelcamel site.

Makes for a much smarter purchase decision. Unless I need it right away, I set a price watch for the item to alert me to when the price is where I want it and buy it at the low end of the cycle.

Look up the camalcamelcamel site and you'll figure it out.

I showed a screenshot of an item I am watching. It is an antenna.

It shows the sales history on Amazon and the price chart.

Go take a look, paste in the amazon url for you knife and it will show you how the price fluctuates....

Amazon....

I save quite a bit on things if I am in no hurry to purchase.

Sneakers in particular. When I'm walking regularly, I can go through a set in 6 to 8 weeks. So, I set a price alert and it emails me whenever the price drops to the low point. I then buy them even if I don't need them. That way I have them at the ready when the pair I am using wears out.

Also is great for gift items. When I think of something I'd like to get for someone, I price watch it and buy it when the price is down. Birthdays, Christmas presents are bought throughout the year this way and it saves me a ton $$$

Here's one I really scored on.

I bought everything in their inventory...

Average price $15.18

I got them for less than $3 each. :D

I use this stuff to make my canna-butter
