See, I don't think you have to decide the officers are guilty of framing him simply to judge Avery not guilty. That would be a separate trial altogether.

The prosecutor told the jurors that finding him not guilty would require them to say that the cops MURDERED the woman.

I mean, your right.

But that's the exact opposite of what the jurors were told.

The biggest takeaway from the entire series was that it highlighted the massive gulf between quality attorneys and bad ones...and how you hand your fate on one or the other if you are accused.

Major factor in the black vs white same crime different judgement argument. Public defender versus a private lawyer. It isn't all about race, sometimes it's as simple as being able to afford better representation.

As he would since he was trying to get a conviction. The law does not require that and jurors are instructed on the law.

By law prosecutors are required to seek justice. Not convictions.

But again your right. All they actually care about is convictions (and occasionally framing people who are about to win a massive legal judgement against them).

It's usually not the skill of the public defenders that's the problem, but their workload.

The money problem really comes in with not being able to hire expensive experts to disprove all of the corrupt government "scientists" and their BS claims.

Google such things as "hair analysis" and "bite mark evidence" and "arson experts"...It's all BS and has been proven so.

But corrupt judges still let the quacks testify and if you can't afford someone to show how full of **** they are, you're ****ed.

If you want to read into a true to life injustice of "The System", pick up the book "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham.

About a washed up MLB player accused of murder back in the 80's, Ron Williamson.

Author John Grisham said that when he read the obituary on this guy and did some investigating, he had to write a book about it. So many layers within the story that he couldn't imagine making this story up.

Older read but it grabs you…...
