Cape Cod Bay Squid Question

Rate this topic

8 posts in this topic

I'll be heading to Wellfleet this weekend and plan on taking my Dad's 16' boat out to fish in the bay.  The last few times we were out we ran into squid while trying to fish for scup and sea bass. Does anyone know if there are likely to still be squid around in CC Bay Labor Day weekend?  I bought some squid tackle and want to try and target them. Know where to find them so this is more of a question on whether they hang around or not.

Thanks!

The outer moorings(Flyers) will produce all night. Or anchor just south of them. Pretty much anywhere. Put a little chum out. Blast. Light will help.

i've heard that harbor master at P-town will kick you out after 9pm :banghd:

There've been problems at the wharf with, to put it bluntly, slobs who don't clean up after themselves. I'm actually surprised the HM allows any squid fishing there, thought it was shut down completely.
