New To Surfcasting. Ideas?

As long as the penn battle 2 is a 5000 or 6000 size you should be fine. I have both sizes and the 5000 feels better on 10' and 10.6 rods. The 6000 works but I think it feels better on 11' rods.

I have a Tsunami Airwave.  I feel like it doesn't have enough backbone for my preference.  You can feel everything which is great, but when working plugs and jigs I feel like I loose a lot of action.

I've always felt the same way about Tsunami rods. They never seem to have enough beef in the spine.

Penn conflict 6000 with a Tsunami Trophy Series 11ft......love it

caught a lot of fish on my Airwave....swimmers jigs ,poppers.....20 to 35lb stripers noooo problem
