Shrinking Picture Size

Rate this topic

4 posts in this topic

I've got a Kodak DC5000 and the software that comes with it. I can't find a way to reduce (other than cropping) pictures to fit on the forum. If the software isn't capable can some reccomend software that will do the job.

Thanks,

Jon

For file type .jpg it's usually a function of when you are saving the image. Like on my software, I choose "save as", pick .jpg, and then under options before I click the save button I can choose different compression or optimization.

First crop the photo, get rid of all that white space...save it, see where yer at size wise, then start fiddling with the optimizationsmile.gif

Jon,

Go to Tucows and find Paint Shop Pro. You will have to do a little searching around. PSP is a very good photo editor that isn't all that expensive. They have a free trial period for you to learn to use the tool. It's much, much better than the junk software kodak sends with the DC5000.
