Use Google and search for these exact phrases . . .

"How to Read the Sea - Read the Water-Part 1"

"How to Read the Sea - Read the Water - Part 2"

I find it difficult to share information in this manner, but since the site does not allow "LINKS", I will have to provide "search terms" so that people can find it on their own.

We have the same kind of information here also.

Take a look, do a search for more particulars that you need for the area your fish.

Agreed, those articles by "Poppy" are excellent !

The other articles I posted about go into more detail in other areas, also. After all, I don't recall Poppy saying anything about how "hydrodynamic flow" around rocks and other underwater structures affects the contour of the bottom, which one of the other articles did.

All in all, they are both excellent reference sources and, when combined, offer even more information to fishermen everywhere, regardless of what "area" you're fishing in !

Thanks for all this info.  I've only been striper fishing 3 years now but it didn't take me long to figure out that reading the water is the most important aspect of finding 'em.  And I've only begun to skim the surface of this important subject (no pun intended).
