Ocean front sandy beaches

Started fishing this year with lures and stuck to the north so far. Had some good and bad nights but overall I'm very happy what I was able to accomplish.

Want to start trying south shore beaches and start to scout for "favorite" spots.

With the weather getting colder was thinking of fishing the day till it's dark or dark mornings through sunrise and mornings. Getting harder and harder to stay out all night.

And when there is any light that allows me to see I love to use pencil poppers.

Searched and read all I could about reading beaches and targetting it's structures.

My question is with pencil poppers, since you have to raise the fish. Do you use pencils on all the structures and work it to your feet? Can all the different structures be productive or one is better than other specifically for pencils?

Just few questions popped in my head and wanted to ask around. Actually going out there and trying first might be best but wanted to be more prepared and not be lost out there.
