Favorite Soft Plastics?

Hi all,

I'm a fan of slug-gos, and I have a little experience fishing hogys, specifically, the 9" slugs and 10" hogys. I have some questions about how/which you guys fish.

•Which are your favorite soft plastics? I'm thinking hogys, slug-gos, albie snax, & salt striker savage sardines, once I can find where to buy them. I might consider RonZs, but they're pretty expensive.

•How would you fish Rexas rigged, un-weighted or with a tiny amount of weight? I feel that I'm not getting the best possible sub-surface action using the technique I would to fish an x-rap sub-walk or spook.

•Under which conditions do you guys fish'em? (moon phase, barometric pressure, overcast, pre- or post- precipitation, tides, ect...)

I'll mainly be fishing them from a boat with a 4'8" ultralight, and yes, I'm a biy loony, or from the shore with a 9' moderate action St.Croix legend. I probably will find blitzes from the boat, so I guess anything would go, but also tempting the bass from the rocks when action is slow will be a big part of the time that I'll be using the soft-plastics. I'm open to all the info I can get!

Thanks!
