I feel violated- they asked me for ID to vote

In Connecticut of all places! This is supposed to be a liberal bastion of enfranchisement! And yet... they were somehow concerned about voter fraud!

 

Attendant: "You might not believe this, but some people try to vote more than once".

I voluntarily showed my voter ID card, and was told they weren't supposed to ask for that.

It wasn't a photo ID, but the card that was sent to me with all of my voting district info.

She did ask for verbal confirmation of my bona fides, though.

I was asked for ID, which was cool, then she read my address and asked if it was correct. I was thinking, why don't you ask me to give you my address so you can verify it against your list?
