Can you reuse a hook that has been in a jig? I have a bunch of heads beat up from this season I plan to melt lead off and make new again next season, will the hooks get weakend by the heat process again?? Am I safer using new hooks??????

The cost of a new hook is about 6 to 14 cents each. Just get new ones. Yes, cooking the lead off them will weaken them. It's just not worth recycling them.

Thank you... Easy enough. Got to love SOL.
