Jose Conseco accidentally shot off his middle finger while cleaning his gun. Poor guy.

Hand guns are already banned so I guess it's middle fingers next.

His gf said it was "hanging by a string." Gnarly. He did go to surgery. Wonder if they just clean up the stump.

I would have to think that there was massive damage, it's not like a blade cut it off.

I think the constructive surgery is for cosmetic purposes only - he'll never be able to use it again...(little blood source and no bone left at the point of impact)...Imagine if that in it's permanent immobile state, it sticks straight up...LOL

Had a buddy who shot himself in the foot...literally.

On purpose.

In his defense (?) he was more than a little drunk and despondent and was thinking of offing himself.

He shot himself in the foot to "see what it would feel like".

This changed his mind and he's still with us...probably sobered him up right quick too.

Ended up taking all of his guns and selling them off for his wife, with his permission.

Some folks shouldn't be around firearms.

He didn't accidentally shoot his finger while cleaning his gun.

He shot his finger while reaching for the gun, or some such.

Guns don't accidentally go off.

Something has to happen to make them fire.

Something, like, say....pulling the trigger.
