Small Danny variations. These are 4.75 inches long, Pink/white are 1.4 oz, yellow is 1.6 oz and also has a split shot midway between lip and hooks, all 3 are also center weighted.  Yellow one has a Danny 1 lip with standard bend, pink/white have Danny 1 lip that is bent to same angle as a Lefty 1 lip.  They just came back from a swim, pink/white ones swim right on the surface, yellow came in 2-3 feet down. I have had good success with the surface swimming ones, I made the yellow one to get down under the white water quickly on days when there is alot of wave action. I mostly fish open sand beaches and off jetties, although thanks to the ACOE there are not as many fishable jetties as there used to be.

Looking good Tom,

You need a sexy, trendy, marketing name for your style of Dannies, with the flat sides......maybe Flathead. Or Buzzcut. Or High and Tight. That's a real signature effect you got going there. Pink and white is always a fave, and what more can you say about yellow? It's yellow!

I just cleaned out the garage, time to make chips.

this is what I got done this winter as far as Dannies go. Got a few other colors too. Top one is a foot long and for a specific spot, place, rock.

The thin blue one is actually a Pichney Eely copy that I reweighted different and put on a new lip. I want it to perform more like a danny so i am changing things up. I love the profile so i said why not.

The slim danny above the eely looks spot on too!

those are nice Frank.

Yeah i made a bunch of those slimmer dannies this winter after i proto'd one last 2 years cause George was doing so well with his slimmer Donnie's. i do prefer the dannies over the Donnie's. George is opposite. Had a couple real good fish from shore on them. I use a schoolie lip on them fits perfect. I am finding a few plugs that like that lip.

Its just preference I suppose. I opt for Donnys but like dannys as well. I remember a photo of you and a fish on a slim danny. 6X is tough on some of the slim stuff I've made though.

My first attempt at a Danny, and I need a little help. Should I epoxy before or after putting the lip on and thru wiring?
