1dozenraw
Use a uni knot to uni knot connection. Tied right it never fails. or alberto.. http://www.stripersonline.com/a/albertos-knot I pretty much stick to four knots. Palomar for mono to snaps / fast links. Alberto, uni to uni or overhand to uni for braid to mono. That's about it and Alberto and Palomar are the go to comb most of the time. "We eat cold eels and think distant thoughts" Jack Johnson. Sailor
I've tied different brainds and mono for many tasks. I can never beat the uni-to-uni, or the NoName knots. However, the triple surgeons knot is very strong and works very well if not using a loop (bimini, spider hitch, or other loop). All the best. Circumcision - it's not for the weak. hobobob
Your culprit might be the daiwa braid, not with the knots. I had similar experince with Daiwa samurai braid. Try the knot strength on straight braid first. If you can pull or snap the line easily with your hand, it's time to switch.
