Very nice job, Both finding the bite & training them up right!

Those are some really nice perch!!!  I've never caught or even seen them close to that big in person.

Love the pic of your daughter w/ the bend in her rod and big smile on her face.

Precious!

Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on landing a fish on 4#. I never fished for Corbina but hard to imagine having to drop down to that light a line in the surf.

Thanks... I've got fishing buddies that have used 2# leaders on occasion... I can't even see or tie 2#....There has even been a 2# tourney some years back... I've caught some big corbina and spotfin croakers,a small striper and small bat rays on the 4# leaders... I would guess the average surf fisherman down here use 6-8# leaders, so 4# isn't that far off of the norm...

Took the kid to the mountains for camping, hiking and early CPR Trout fishing. Had a great weather window before the next storm. Still not spring quite yet. Water was cold, snow on the foot hills and fish didn't perk up until the afternoon when the sun had been on the water a while. Water was gin clear and trout were selectively eating, but we still managed a few nice fish.

Nothing to show for it, but they’re there in MB. Saturday spent three hours at incoming am tide and found what they wanted: 1.5 oz Kastmaster. But they were teasing me only. Got five solid strikes on eight casts. But nothing stuck and then the lights went out for the brief bite.
