isleomaniac
Any one have a photo of a snot fly, or know where I can view one? Worm Hatch Inspector.
saltyh2ofly
Down here I don't see that bait until early winter. Usually silversides, anchovies and small mullet or peanuts will take albies. Maybe your name for snot flys should have a description of the bait your are trying to imitate.
slip n slide
Clear/white iceabou and clear/wht estaz grande over a colored(or not) thread base. The color will show through the estaz when it's wet. Both materials become translucent/clear when wet.I like a silver gut-sac on the front half using silver craft paint before I wrap the body. Sorry, not the best pic, comes out more just wht than the clear it is in the water.

JRT
There is a Aussie snot fly pattern that works really well over here that uses Fuzzle Dub. Dubbing loop along the shank and brush out and thats it other than stick on eyes.

I do the same thing, basically--a little #2 or 4 Surf Candy with silver or pearl bodi-braid on the hook shank, white Unique hair with a little flash, and a big silver eye.
