Sandbox Posted July 15, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 15, 2014 The "sure thing" for me was either an A17 diamond jig with green or red tube (color probably doesn't matter) or a small hopkins shorty, both with a teaser fly about three feet above. I fished pretty hard for about five-six days over the past week and I'd say about 2/3 of the blues took the diamond jig/hopkins and 1/3 took the fly. No double headers this trip. I trolled and casted with that setup and caught fish both ways. When the fish were breaking water I switched to an atoms or white popper for fun, and that worked too.
