idlewild
Since you guys were talking about uk reels, do you guys know anything about the shimano ultegra?
levari
I don't remember. If you search in the BST you may be able find out...One was Century 144l and the other Batson Rainshadow 1386..The one on the left is the 1387 which I kept.
idlewild
I was just curious what a Used custom rod goes for? I will never sell mine as it has my name on it.
levari
The first custom rod is very personal..Over the years you may change your style and you may find out you can do better with different rods. I sold my Century which was moderate and I bought CTS s8 which is fast action. I sold my 1386 and I bough 1387 with heavier action. There is no point in keeping rods that you don't use. Some rods I kept and I did not sell.
kclo
I was originally going to get Carolina cast pro by tommy farmer, but keystone said he didnt know when they would be back in stock. I had waited 4 weeks already so I went with the century. Im hoping to throw about 150 yards or so. Â I throw 4 or 5oz jig. With some practice 150 yard should not be a problem. Saw the nor'east 1448 at the RI show. That is also a sweet rod.

I'm using my 1449 with this. Has a high retrieve rate.

Fall fish
Quote:Originally Posted by kclo in before the lock??? what does that mean?? Probably a reference to other thread on Century rods that has degenerated to threats of beatings.  I am not sure how this stayed out of the fray...
