First attempts at Mr, Empie’s Goldie pattern.

Forgot the red krystal flash on the gold one.

Didn’t have any of the right size silver beads for the silver one.

Tails might be a bit short and red throat might be a bit too large.

Critiques and comments welcomed.

Those look great . I wouldn't sweat the beads or getting lengths perfect either . I'll use bead chain  beads or even cones . Don't really matter all that much as long as long as it's weight forward. One thing I'll do sometimes is taper the tail to slim up the profile a bit. If you have black braid tie a couple up you might be surprised how well it works .

CuCuy ( the new kitten ) let me have some vise time . Just a couple of cased caddis . First time trying with estaz and cactis chenille . I liked the burnt estaz over the chenille for a slimmer body . But I like the colour of the burnt chenille better has a more natural look. Probably dont really matter but I wished the estaz had a white core like the chenille.PA230003.JPG.eea88fce2313bfab80d452058b534f65.JPGPA230002.JPG.28a8319047faa6464e4016f01f4c9484.JPGPA230001.JPG.96091c8800e9859ec2b754a17655d09c.JPG5f91b87996629_PA230002(1).JPG.f3985cdf36077e8e4a49e6720295a773.JPG

A Gartside's Gurgler tyed with thick density fat foam.....its already a proven and  productive pattern. It scoots across the surface, pops like a popper, rises quickly when pulled under and easy to cast. The face is 1.25 inches across
