GoodDay Al,

I hope all is well up there in your neck of the woods and I look forward to hangin with you and the boys at the freeport

I have a question that i would like your opinion on. I picked up 2 9'+ heavy, fast action ugly stick blems from Harold at midland tackle a couple of years ago for $2 each. I quick wrapped one of them for tog this season with scrap guides i had layin around and recently went out and got a decent set and a SiC tip, so i want to do it right. I have them taped up now and here are the specs :

overall 85"

butt to foregrip top 26"

foregrip to collector (#20fuji) 20.5"

colector to guide 9"(#16) - 8"(#12) -7.5(#10) - 5.5(#10) - 5(#10) - 4tip(#10)

I know it sounds funny but it looks fine and it is only gonna be used for bottom fishing. Am i gonna compromise anything by the uneven placement? and is the collector too far up? Alberto has handled this rod in it's scrap stage and it has cojones. the blem was a nasty whip in the clear part of the tip(about 8") and i took it all off i tokk about 12"+ from the top and about 3 or 4 from the butt.
