You are not going to get that one in fiberglass for a good blank!

Step up a bit and your selection opens up greatly.

Have a look at Gatorglass blanks. Pretty inexpensive and pretty rugged.

Lamiglas SB121-3M It's fiberglass, but it will handle the range you want. I think they are about 80 bucks. I have a bunch of rods, the 121-3M is my favorite.

Go to a tackle shop and buy the rod you like because of the blank. Then go home and strip out rod and build it to your specs. Cheap blank and great rod. Blanks are almost twice that of the cost of a rod.

Just cause you are a new builder doesn't mean you have to use cheap components. get the best blank you can afford. Assume the rod will come out perfect. Take your time building it and it will!
