Hi Guys

I am hoping that I can get some how to on repairing a fiberglass rod that I cracked throwing to heavy a plug. This rod is nothing special except to me,it is a 2 piece 8 ft that fits in each piece without ferrules. The rod is cracked where the 2 are joined.

What would be the way to repair it?I was thinking I should fit something inside the blank but really do not know if this is the proper way to fix it and if it is ,how far do I need to go?

thanks for any help

Get a tube of super glue and apply it to the crack. Let it dry and then wrap the area with size A thread at least 1/2 inch beyond the crack. Do not wrap with very tight tension on the thread.

Apply two thin coat of finish and let it dry for several days before using the rod.
