You can use it in 48 hours if you are nice to it, but I like a few days or more...

A good rule of thumb with the Flex products is this...

If ya can dent it with a fingernail, let it cure some more.

Otherwise, fish on!

You should wait 7 to 10 days with any finish. Sure you might get away with using it the next day but its best to let it harden completely. fishing rods last 20 years sometimes longer. In the grand picture , a week to let it cure fully is nothing. trouble is people decide on minday to build a rod for friday night. It will work but you'll have cracks at the guides very quickly if the epoxy gets flexed before its cured well.

Thanks for putting up that answer.

 

I wait 7 days before I let a customer take the rod. Too many builders don't agree with this. Customers want the rod quick and some builders turn them out.
