Loomis blank question

I want to build a light rod to throw small lead head bucktails and rubber in 3/8 - 1oz range. I want to feel the lure on the bottom. I am looking at a Loomis L842-GL2 7' one pc rated for 3/8" to 1 1/2oz. Has anyone built with this blank? If so I would appreciate your thoughts. Also would welcome suggestions for other blanks to do this type of fishing. Thanks.

I have a L844 which I wrapped conventional for boat fishing. I never seen the 842 though. (Search here for the L844, I believe I posted about it a couple of times)

I think for what you are looking to throw that rod will work. It has a nice parabloic bend to it, it's relatively light and will handle any fish you run into up here. The 844 is used in Florida for smaller 50#< Tarpon, and probably has landed a few bigger ones.

I have the factory LR 842. It should be fine for what you're planning on throwing. Parabolic rods are very versatatile and work well for all types of lures within their weight range.
