Does anyone here use envirotex lite as a rod finish?? Saw a rod done in it yesterday and it looked great, I'm not sure how well it hold up though.

Also, can I get away with a single coat of Flex Coat high build formula on the wraps only on an extremely flexible glass rod? I've always used two in the past but I'm pressed for time on this one.

Envirotex is not a finish to use for rod building. It is used for sealing the tops of tables and was used years ago as a rod wrapping finish before the high-build finishes came out. The finish stayed flexible in warm temperatures but cracked in colder weather. It also yellowed alot.

I would recommend you stay with the current high-build finishes specifically formulated for rod building.
