ashifty1
I have a St. Croix Tidemaster Travel Rod. The rod has Fuji Hardalloy guides. The Hardalloy liner in the top guide has worked loose. I can snap it in and out by hand. On a good strong cast the liner shoots out of the guide and travels down the line. Obiviously, this is bad. My question is should I glue the liner back in or replace the tip? If you think that glue would work, what kind of adhesive should I use? Thanks in advance. -- Andrew
Al Goldberg
The tip needs to be replaced. It's a simple fix at any good tackle shop that builds or repairs rods. It take 5 minutes.
