Al,

I just wanted to let you know that I took out that fluke rod for a test run on Friday. It was everything that I was hoping for. The only problem is that I can't remember the particulars about the rod. Can you please tell me again what the blank was? This is the best big water fluke rod that I have ever used. Thanks again!

Rav,

Its a Calstar GX7 composite. 7 feet, rated from 12-25 lb. It has a medium taper as opposed to the fast taper that Calstar blanks traditionally have. It also is a great blank for deepwater sea bass and porgies during the fall run at Montauk.

Al
