Lami CGBT blanks

Al, seems like I ask the same Q over and over again. I am planning to build a pair of these blanks as a comparison - one wrapped conventional, one spiral. I know about uses for the 841M, I just built the 781M which will be used to jigging & eels as well as bottom fishing. I also have the 781ML seems to me like it would also fit the bill for those uses, just a bit lighter.

Have you built on the 78 or 84 L?? I am thinking I could wrap this to be used for ocean Fluking like on the Captain Bob's out of Mattituck. The ML seems to be a tad heavy and stiff for Fluke.

How does the CGBT841L compare to the GBT841L? I went into the articles and looked at your list of preferred blanks and see this is recommended for Light bucktailing schoolies and Weakies.

Hate to be swinging 8 pound fish with these rods. Billy

Billy,

For fishing Mattituck either the 78L or 84L in the CGBT series are good choices. You will need the "bone" in the blank do deal with the tide conditions there.

Al
