That not fishing. That is torture

No way.  Nothing better than a long party boat nap in a down sleeping bag.

Except maybe the luxuriant, plush comfort of a sheepskin car seat.

So, an hour ago I was sitting in Bahrs, alone, nursing a double Woodford and a water back.

Bless you , Slack,  I don't know how you do it.   Sat around yesterday doing a lot of nothing and I was miserable.  Not miserable enough to tackle any house chores, but miserable.  Took a drive out to the Hook, past the ballfield where my son, a middling baseball player at best, hit his best home run ever....as a 12 year old.  Past the ponds where the kids are out there skating in Navesink, came up over the 36 bridge and saw the beautiful Atlantic, but no OE in sight.  Out to the Hook, past the bird people and the bbq area where the long lost @csteven and @Sheisty and his hot girlfriend shared food and drink with us. Swung around by officers row, and landed in Bahrs.  Bs'ed with Jay for a bit and enjoyed my bourbon.  Over to TST to pick up some vittles and sample some new items.  Note:  melt your face wings are not an exaggeration. Texted Hank because I thought his daughter was working at the restaurant, she is not.  Back home and ready to settle in for a day of NHL on the tube.

Eff covid.

Horrendous work project should be done in a couple weeks...then back to my BFF family. Hope everyone's good.

We are good , we'll sort of.

Yea I got one of those too.

Managing a government vessel, I told  my boss WTF we got 7 of our own!!

You have some catching up to do.

Y and his boy, are bonding, on a road kill project, which I fear, maybe a prequel to a "looking for Mr. Goodbar " project, down the road. We shall see.

That deer is hanging and the weather is warming up. 42F today. 47F tomorrow.

Should I be concerned? Do I need to bury it in the snow or grab a few bags of ice?

How.long should I let it rest before cutting it? 4 days? 7 days? Other?

TIA

Its fun to poke the bear, maybe he'll get mad enough to invite me to lunch.

He sneaks over to Keyport, and do we get a call or a text?  No, we do not.

Peter does the same, they might be related.

This whole incident reminds me of a deer massacre I saw last fall. There is a section of Rt 17 up in a residential area of Allendale that is 6 lanes with huge sound barriers on each side for a mile. A herd of 6 or 8 got lost in there. Every 100 yards there was a mangled deer.
