Since you brought it up Oracle, I have gas for the skiff in a plastic can that is over a year old. I can't remember the last time I added Stabil to it. How do I get rid of it?

Burn it in the lawn mower

You must be enjoying your time at the fuel pump immensely.

Haven't run the truck much this year. I think I've only filled the tank 3 times.

Not as fun as Peter's idea, but that'll work :th:

I don't know about the mower.  I think smaller ICE's are more finicky about their gas.  It is one thing to add a gallon or two of stale gas into a 20 gallon tank of good gas... it is another thing to fill a lawnmower tank with stale gas.

In my boat I was burning some gas that was years old... in theory anyway.

I had an 80+ gallon tank and never let that tank go to much less than half a tank.  Fresh gas diluting stale gas - a corollary to "dilution is the solution to pollution".

Another inflationary sign for which I am blissfully immune.

One sign U.S. inflation is becoming a major problem: the rising cost of your haircut, which just saw its largest price hike in 40 years.

Snaps.  Maybe plan a Nantucket vacation with the wife... get it booked before she gets to reading the news.

On Nantucket, a proposal to allow topless beachgoers has won town approval, an unimaginable move for many of the island’s year-rounders and weekender visitors. It might be time “to go out and buy some stock in Banana Boat [sunscreen],” one supporter said.

My cost went up 20%, but she earns her money with this mane.
