Cod Teasers?

Hi Al:

Just thought I would Tap into your experience here...

What, in your experience, has been, your most productive teaser??? I have used everything from Snapper Zappers to Shrimp Tails, to Mr Twisters. Of lately, hot pink 6" twister tails have reigned supreme.

On the last trip to Stellwagon I tied a beautiful Pink/white Bucktail deciever complete with prismatic eyes and red krystal flash gills. The cod IGNORED them! Still cant figure out why?

Being that you fished with the sharpies in the field like "Smitty From Andover" Kenny "The Codfish" Gerhart, Bob Hughes, "Zorro" I figure you may be able to share some wisdom here.

Joe,

Way back then I used green surgical tubing and caught my share. Remember that color looses most of its definition below 200 feet since the light cannot penetrate that deep.

I have not been out to the deep offshore banks in years. However, i have fished wrecks up to 220 feet in recent years and the most effective teaser I have used is the "glow in the dark" B-2 squid on the teaser hook.

Al
