Heading down to St. Petersburg, FL next week for some vacation. Planning on bringing a couple rod and reels to cast off the beach. What can i expect to catch this time of year and what bait is my best bet? Any tips will do! Thanks and happy holidays!

You might want to go to the Skyway fishing pier north or south. They've been catching spanish mackerel, silver trout, Bonita, and sheephead. Also try fishing at Fort Desoto they have 2 piers. Go to www.bigmikesforum.com this will give you current Skyway fishing reports

Casting off the beach is pretty much useless this time of year. The Skyway bridge is ok, but Redington Pier in North Redington Beach is the place you want to be.  It's out on the beaches south of Clearwater on Gulf Blvd.  For more info pm me.
