Hand carve swimmer I’m working on for a friend. I had a lot of success with this style handcarve this spring . Had two fish over 30 on one a few weeks ago and many more in the 20’s . Plug wakes on top and pushes a lot of water  and is perfect for bass feeding on bunker 844BDADB-29B5-49FA-B5EF-42D38441B531.jpeg.cfa57ca6b6ebc3ce761b96cccba5496a.jpeg

Post-lathe, pre-epoxy. The Chart/Pistachio/pink I think is my favorite. Gave it some gills to spruce it up

it’s just a mock up for float testing, I use wire cut offs to so I can put it together and see how it floats in a bucket of water . All of my plugs are through wired, only plug I build with hangers are banana plugs and there is no way a striped bass will ever pull out a hanger

Nice size and a great profile ! Curiosity's got me, what's the peg in the board for ? Nose loops ?

Opps somehow I quoted Tommy. DOH  Question was obviously meant for extreme  fisherman.

Been messing around with finishes , trying to find something I love .. still not quiet there . These danish oiled . Like 12 coats with some wet sanding every 2-3 coats ... it’s close to what I want but still looking for alil more luster without being plastic feeling high gloss
