Trigger Grips on Conventionals

Just a note for all of youse what's considering rolling a conventional rod for the winter ...

consider a trigger grip on the rod. I have several of Al's rods. A 132-2 w/trigger is my preferred conventional surf tool, and the trigger is a remarkably good grip stabilizer and fatigue reducer. Consider it, if you haven't.

Al, you might wanta comment here?

All of my conventional rods have trigger reelseats except for the heavy duty offshore stuff. Some of my customers like them on their heavy bottom fishing and jigging rods.

It is a matter of personal preference, but I think if you try it you will learn to reallly like the rod set up this way.

I agree- there's just a great "feel" to any conventional rod (no matter the size) with a trigger...
