first guide on an allstar 1206/2 pc

I am starting to put together an all star 1206 2 piece rod as my heavy plugging rod. The rod will be set up as a spinning rod witha daiwa emblem pro 5500 which has a large diameter spool.

I've got the reel seat on and I've got 37 inches from the reel seat to the bottom of the second piece.

I was going to put the first guide 33" above the reel seat, does that sound about right ? I did some searches and found one that said the first guide is usually about 1/3 of the distance from the tip to the top of the real seat, which for me was 99"/3=33. With the guide at 33" I've got about 2" from the top of the first guide foot to the next section of rod, so I could move it up an inch or so but not much more.

The guides I am planning to use are 40hh,30h,25m,20,16,16 16 tip.

Thanks !
