1088/1089 Rainshadow, All-Star?

I plan to build a 9'er, spinning for my uncle. He is looking to throw about 2-4 oz, usually tins, from the beach (usually sand, rarely, if ever rocks). Are the All-star 1088 and the rainshadow sw 1089 the blanks for this range? If so, what are the differences and is the All Star still available. Thanks

I don't have any experience with the Allstar blank but i did post a review of the Rainshadow 1089 (SW series) on this site several years ago that I built as a jetty stick. It should be easy to find if you use the the search function. Good luck.

Thanks Duckwump, I did read it beforeand it helped lead me to my post. Your post contributed to my wondering how the sw1089 compares to the allstar 1088 smile.gif .
