Rainshadow blanks

I have found a sale on surf blanks and am looking at the Rainshadow SU1387S. It is 11ft 6in, rated 2-6 oz. This will be a casting rod for the outer banks and Bear island. Has anyone had any experience with these blanks? I have not built any rods in over 10 years and I am not familiar with all the new blanks. It will be only my second graphite rod building experience. Is there any difference in the new material versus fiberglass? Thanks for any information.

Graphiute is lighter and stiffer than the old fiberglass. the rod will likely have a faster action than one built with fiberglass however the action can be adjusted with layout and taper of the rod so the action is not garanteed faster but it s a good bet it is.
