Last question on this blank, I swear! For light tuna, mahi and chunking bass would you set up this rod the same as you said in the articles or would you change anything? Also on the CLB 806 could you recommend guides and a start for the spacing(same application as above). I'm still thinking that the new light Aftco roller guides might be nice on that rod, especially for the tuna application. You mentioned the Shimano TLD and the Penn GL, I want something that can cast lighter plugs too. Could you recommend another reel that could cast too, Penn 975? Abu 7500? Thanks again for everything! Mike

Mike,

You may want to consider installing a gimbal with a butt cap to slip over it. The gimbal is nice when fighting a tuna with a belt.

The Aftco single foot rollers are nice, however my first choice are the Fuji HNSG guides.

As far as a reel, look at the Daiwa SVX ??? I will check tonight on the correct model number.
