XRA 1205 vs GSB 1201L

I can really use advice on making a decision.

I'm looking to get a custom piece for overall use. Based on the plug sizes I use, I have narrowed it down to the XRA 1205 and the GSB 1201l.

Two of the most important attributes I'm looking for are: a rod that is not too stiff and a rod that is durable and that will last.

Finally, I just want to ask about the XRA 1205- Why is it this rod can handle such a wide weight range -1 to 5 1/2oz? I'm only speculating but it just seems to me that a rod such as this that "does it all" has to have some cons to it.

Thanks!

For .....a rod that is not too stiff and one that is durable....I think your best bet is the GSB 120 1L.

The XRA 1205 is a great rod rod. I use it at the canal throwing mostly 3 and 4.

Based on your limited description though , I think you'd like the 120 1L
