Building GSB 132-2M- Need advice from those with experience!

I'm getting ready to build a Lamiglas GSB 132 2M for the upcoming Outer Banks surf season, set up for a conventional reel. Need advice from folks with experience about:

1) Which reel works the best on it (and is available), will mainly be used for 6+ ounces and bait with some sort of braided line.

2) Guide size and placements that have worked well. I'm just looking for a starting point as I realize it all depends.

Thanks in advance-

Tarheel,

The reel is a matter of personal preference and budget. Abu 7000 w/o levelwind and Newell 229 are two goods reels that come to mind. You want a reel that is relatively low maintenance that is easy to strip and clean.

As far as guide sizes, I like the Fuji NSG's: 25, 20,20,16,16......16 plus an SIC tip. The number of #16's will be determined by a stress distribution test. I would probably go with 5-6 #16 guides.
