Guys what blank(s) do you think I should look at for freshwater bass rod. I fish out of a canoe for the most part and when I fish some heavy weed beds I have problems geting the fishs head up due to how low I sit. What blanks would you guy use, and any tips would be great. ThomT

Tuff question to answer.

Fishing heavy weeds IMO requires a rod for just that purpose, and it's not a rod you wana fish in open water.

A med- heavy to heavy action 7' rod is what I like. A minimum 4 or 5 power rod (Loomis MBR844 as a starting point), or even a flipping stick depending on what kind of weed it is.

I want a heavy action rod, 50# braid and a 4/0 hook in my rat when I stick a 5# fish in the junk smile.gif .
