REBUILDING AN OLD MUSTARD 10' LAMI FOR THE RUN

Al:

A few years back I bought a 10' Lami from a friend of mine. Only fished it once, and I liked it, but I've pretty much remained with 'my' sticks. In preparation for the Sept/Oct run out East I figure I can use the stick as a back-up just in case. Only problem is that two of the guides are shot. I'm gonna replace all of them, but I'm not sure what to throw on the blank. The guides in place now seem to be the Aluminum Oxide guides (BSHGs). They're black with a glow-in-the-dark ring and a dark eye. I think you'll catch what I'm saying. They're big, double foot guides, and the ring sizes seem large (especially on the stripper). m12-7.gif

What guides do you recommend I place on the rod? There are 5 guides and a tip now.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

That's easy. Fuji Highframe spinning in Hardaloy. I have them in the shop.

40HH, 30H, 25H, 25M, 20M and a tip.

When are you coming up to the shop to play?

Al

P.S. I am off to Montauk for the weekend in about ten minutes. Let's talk next week.

Mike Staten was up last week to begin assembling his arsenal for Mazatlan.
