wooden handles

HI AL ,I HAVE SOME NICE OLD WOODEN HANDLES THAT I WOULD LIKE USE TO MAKE A FEW BOAT RODS WITH ,ANY SUGGESTIONS . SHOULD I USE MASKING TAPE , CORK , OR FIBERGLASS BUSHINGS TO SECURE THE BLANK TO THE CHROME REEL SEAT.ALSO CAN YOU USE ANY OTHER TYPE REEL SEAT.THANKS,MIKE C.

Mike,

 

You can use masking tape or fiberglass tape for bushings. Just make sure you use plenty of epoxy glue to fill all the voids between the bushings.

 

I would probably use a Fuji Seat instead of a chrome brass one to cut down on the weight.
