AL I have a lamiglas SB1362F which is 11ft6.I would like to make it 10ft. Would it be best to take 3 or 4 inches off the tip and the rest off the butt or take it all off the butt.I would like to use this rod for plugs and eels for stripers and blues. Thanks in advance to all replies. AL F.

Al,

The blank is rated from 2-5 ounces and has a #12 tip. For a conventional rod I would trim the tip back to a #14 and cut from the butt to reach a total length of 10 feet. For spinning I would leave the tip alone and trim from the butt.
